Hyper Crypt is a piece of free software by Angelos Angelopoulos. It offers multiple useful encryption tools in one provided by way of a simple and an uncluttered interface. With Hyper Crypt you can encrypt text files and folders hiding them from prying eyes. You can also use it to generate strong passwords and even hashes if you have a reason to!
Strong And Simple Security
Hyper Crypt uses AES-256 encryption for files which is generally regarded as being immune to brute force attacks. It does the same for text encryption. It's not specified what algorithms it uses to generate passwords but unfortunately they don't seem to be that strong comparatively. Everything it does is handled by one interface which resembles Windows' Control Panel with large icons and descriptive text. This makes it simple to use in all of its capacities. It bears noting that the app encrypts much faster on better hardware and though it's pretty easy to meet its system requirements it's best to have a fast CPU if you want to encrypt a lot of files with AES-256.
The Bottom Line Unencrypted
Basically Hyper Crypt is great for beginners to encryption who want to securely give a file to someone else. It's not as fancy as some other pieces of software like those that provide PGP encryption but it's very secure and it's simple to use.
